Hi

Well as usual a little water has passed under the bridge since my last post however it looks like the boys have been keeping you up to date till the start of this month.

We have been having some very ordinary weather for the past few weeks in Weipa that is for sure, but the fishing hasn’t been that bad even though it has restricted where you go to some extent.

Last week I camped out near False Pera for a few days with a mate, Hervey bay guide Mark Bargenquast (Bargy).

We had some great beach fishing for the first two days with plenty of big tarpon and goldies and tried for a few blue bastards to no avail, till the swell came up and made the beaches dirty, so that was that!

We the decided to spend two days in Norman creek and had heaps of fun with small goldies and diamond trevally and plenty of shots at permit but no cigar.

Over all, weather  was not great but we still managed to have plenty of fun and eve though Bargy didn’t catch a blue bastard or a permit he did hook 4 BB’s and a black spot tusky, but they all kicked his butt and he broke most off or pulled the hook, and even got a nice lie burn from the Tusky. They certainly don’t breed them that tough in Hervey bay. I beleive Morsey sent him some skin repair for his soft hands, hope they get better soon!

We have a new charter starting today and a a camp out trip starting saturday and we will keeep you posted on them as we get a chance.

Here is a few recent pics to gaze at check out the one of the tat on a guy from Cooks plumbing group I won’t mention his name  but he did win the commitment award for getting the tat, which is real by the way.

He copied the picture which is Longtail catching what looks like a goldfish from my website and had it tattooed on his shoulder! A bit creepy hey, but he obviously likes his fishing trips to Weipa? I hope!
