Jason spent some years fishing around lakes entrance, Malacoota, allthe way to Portland fishing for australian salmon and snapper. Getting the bug for fly fishing some 12 yrs ago.After spending rainy day’s watching fishing video’s he decided it was time to head north and headed to Weipa to see what all the fuss was about. He arrived in Weipa about 3 yrs ago and stayed getting a job night packing with Woolies so he could spend the day’s fishing. Jason then aquired his coxwains ticket and has now started guiding with us. Although new to the guiding scene his knowledge of flyfishing and the Weipa area will be an asset to the team.

Owey grew up in south west Victoria catching Flathead and gar from the local jetties. He did an apprenticeship as a spray painter then ten years or so breeding show stud cattle.
