As with the other well known Lutjanid species the fingermark (Lutjanis johnii) we catch around Weipa and Cape York, these species prefer dense cover and will keep you on your toes as they have a tendency to grab the lure or fly as they are returning to that cover. Your reflexes had better be quick.
